Template used

Editorial

The example is set in the Editorial template: split header, strong typographic hierarchy and skills as chips. That is the template the example ships with, not a recommendation — all four templates carry exactly the same information.

Note: the editor opens with the default template. The template shown here is not transferred to the editor yet; you can switch it in one click once inside.

Anatomy of the example

What it contains, and why

Six blocks, a single page. Everything described here appears literally in the document above.

Header and contact

Name, current title (Senior Product Designer) and one contact line with email, city and LinkedIn profile. No photo, no date of birth, no postal address — they add nothing to a screening decision and cost usable space.

Professional summary

Two lines that fix level and territory: eight years in B2B SaaS and three concrete specialisms (design systems, user research, decisions driven by business metrics). It is positioning, not a statement of intent.

Experience

Two roles in reverse chronological order: Senior Product Designer at TechFlow Solutions since 2021 (current) and Product Designer at Nordia Labs from 2018 to 2021. The progression is visible without being explained.

Achievements, not duties

Two bullets per role, each opening with an action verb: led the onboarding redesign for a 34% conversion increase, built the design system used by four product teams, defined the discovery process, reduced design delivery time by 22%. Two of the four carry a number; the other two state scope.

Education

A single entry: BA in Product Design, Universitat Politècnica de València (2013-2017). With eight years of experience, education sits last and needs no further detail.

Skills and languages

Six competencies named the way job ads name them (Design Systems, Research, Prototyping, Figma, Accessibility, Data-informed) and two languages with a level (Spanish native, English C1). No percentage bars or star ratings — they are not verifiable.

How to review a resume like this

General review criteria. We have not run this example through the analysis engine, so you will not see a score here.

  • Recognisable structure

Standard section headings in the expected order. Two-column layouts, tables and text boxes are the hardest to parse automatically.

  • Complete contact details

Email and location at minimum, as text rather than inside an image. If you add LinkedIn, use a readable URL.

  • Dated experience

Every role with a title, a company and start and end dates. Undated gaps have to be interpreted, and they get interpreted badly.

  • Bullets with an outcome

Action verb first and, where the number exists, the number. If you do not have it, describe the scope instead of inventing one.

  • Literal skills

Use the terms from the job ad you are answering. 'Figma' and 'design tooling' are not searched the same way.

  • Readability

One page under ten years of experience, 10pt type or larger, real margins. If you have to zoom to read it, it is too dense.

FAQ

About this example

Can I adapt this example to my own experience?
Yes, but it is not copied for you. 'Create my resume' opens the editor with a blank document, and you write your own information following the same structure: summary, experience with bullets, education, skills and languages.
Is the data in the example real?
No. Elena Rivas is a demo profile built to show the format. The companies, dates and figures are fictional and should not be reused in your resume.
Can I change the template?
Yes. Inside the editor you can switch between the four templates (Editorial, Modern, Classic, Compact) at any time and the content re-flows instantly. The template on this page is not transferred to the editor yet.
Can I download the resume as a PDF?
Yes. The editor exports a vector PDF with selectable text, not an image of the document.
How do I check my resume for ATS?
From the editor, with the built-in ATS analysis. It runs on demand only, and never changes your resume without your explicit action.
Do I need an account to start?
Not to edit. An account is only needed to save the document and come back to it later.
